I'm sitting at my kitchen counter getting my carpet cleaned.  Last year when I got my carpet cleaned, I walked on the wet carpet and not realizing how wet my feet were, I slipped on my bathroom floor.  I didn't go down, but I tweaked my toe somehow.  I looked down and the second toe on my left foot looked very odd.  I thought, "that toe isn't supposed to be bent over so far to the right.  I'll just push it back."  So I did.  And didn't think anything of it.  There was no pain. 
But three hours later, it was all swollen and purple and shit and what a dope I was...never put ice on it or anything. Oh yeah, and the pain came later. Like I said, what a dope!  Anyway, you live and learn.  This year, I won't go ice skating on my bathroom floor.  Oh, did I mention how pretty my carpet looks?

My reading was two nights ago.  We had a good turn-out and the audience seemed to like the play.  Or they were being polite.  I can never tell.  I'm sending a HUGE THANK YOU to my mom, Annette and brother-in-law Kelley who totally helped me with the concessions.  They helped to finance it, did the set-up, the clean-up...Oh....I love them.  Thanks you guys!!!

The actors, Shaughn Buchholz, Heidi Darchuk, and Christopher Goodson did a great job.  And a huge thanks to Jeff Weatherford who arranged for the whole thing and directed the piece.  I hope we can go the distance with this thing.  I really do.  Now, I need to go write another play.

I guess I'm not very good at this blogging thing.  I'm sort of averaging one a month.  Anyway, I'm here to talk about my play, Triangle Logic, which will have it's first LA staged reading on Tuesday, July 29th.

Triangle Logic is a dark comedy that examines the relationships between one straight woman and two gay men.  No...it's not autobiographical! Ok...not TOTALLY!  

The reading will be directed by the great and wonderful JEFF WEATHERFORD and features Shaughn Buchholz, Chris Goodson and Heidi Darchuk.
